The vehicle ended up in the hedge following a two car crash on the B4361 near Batchcott, Richards Castle in Ludlow, at around 8.45am.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found a car which had left the road and was in a hedge. Another car was also at the scene.
“The driver of the car in the hedge, a woman in her 60s, suffered a back injury in the crash and was in a lot of pain. Crews worked with the fire service at the scene to carefully extricate her from the vehicle by removing the roof.
“The woman was given pain relief and immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board before being airlifted to Hereford County Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
“The occupants of the second car, which included three children, were assessed on scene by crews but were found to have suffered very minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.â€
Two land ambulances, two rapid response vehicles and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.
