League One rivals Gillingham have completed the signing of former Shrewsbury Town loanee Tom Eaves following his departure from Yeovil.
The 25-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Kent based outfit, as he looks to revive his career under the guidance of Adrian Pennock.
Eaves departed Yeovil after scoring seven goals for the League Two outfit, in 48 appearances.
The former Oldham Athletic striker impressed Bolton Wanderers after he scored a pre-season hattrick against the club.
In 2013, he joined Salop and managed to score six goals in 10 league outings. He returned to the club some months later, but managed just two goals in 25 matches.
Eaves has also represented the likes of Rotherham United and Bristol Rovers during his playing career.
The striker is pleased to link up with Gillingham. He told gillinghamfootballclub.com: “I’m absolutely delighted, I’m really looking forward to getting going, I really can’t wait.
“I really like the manager, I’ve spoken to Peter (Taylor) too and I think I can contribute in bringing some physicality to the team.”
Meanwhile former Shrewsbury youth product Craig Davies has joined Oldham Athletic following his departure from Scunthorpe United. The Welsh international returns to Boundary Park, where he scored 13 goals in 55 games from 2007/2009.
