Long-time golfing fanatic, Drew Clapton has scooped a big win at a north Shropshire Golf Club.

After 29 years’ playing at Market Drayton Golf Club, Drew won the February medal.
Drew, 55, of Mucklestone Road, Loggerheads, has entered scores of competitions but all in vain… until now.
“I really chuffed. It was thick fog on Sunday and I thought the competition had been cancelled. I have never won a thing at the club and I certainly won’t forget this round,” laughed Drew.
A nett score of 67 playing off 25, means Drew’s handicap will be cut to 22 because of this win.
It’s not been all sadness for Drew, however, as he is proud to boast three holes-in-one across his playing career.
