Firefighters have rescued a horse after it became stuck in a cattle grid.

The 30 year-old horse became trapped at Monkhopton at just after 4pm yesterday afternoon.

Three fire appliances including the rescue tender were mobilised to the incident.

The horse was rescued from the cattle grid by firefighters using air bags, hi-ab and lines.
