
A 69-year-old man who went missing from the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital during the early hours of this morning has been found.
Melvyn Searles from Newport was last seen at the hospital at around 2.45am today.
He went missing from the hospital ward he was on wearing just his pyjamas, white vest and grey slippers.
A major search was launched this morning involving West Mercia Police officers, dog handlers, hospital security staff and the National Police Air Service based in Birmingham.
Mr Searles was found and has been returned to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
