Three intrepid golfers will be playing a non-stop 72 holes of golf at Henlle Park Golf Club in Gobowen nr. Oswestry on Monday 20th June to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Brother and sister Naomi and Max Payne from the Ceiriog Valley, together with Lee Finch from St. Martins will be joined by a guest golfer on each round.

The golfers will tee off for the first round at 6a.m. and expect to sink their last putt of the fourth round of the day at approximately 9pm.

Ralph and Angie Tomley, co-proprietors of Henlle Park Golf Club, have kindly donated all course fees in support of the fundraising effort. “Macmillan Cancer Relief is such a great charity and Naomi, Max and Lee play here regularly, so we were absolutely delighted to help,” said Anjie.

“We’ve all been touched by losing someone to cancer,” said Naomi. “It will definitely be tough going towards the end. My dad Ian Payne did it a few years back and was exhausted. He’ll join us on the first round, my mum Jools will play the next 18 holes, Jordan Monk from Oswestry will play the third round and we’re looking for a golfer to play out the final 18 with us in the twilight. We are really grateful to Anjie and Ralph who have been incredibly supportive.”

The three intrepid golfers have set up a Just Giving donation page where anyone wishing to support the venture can donate online at www.justgiving/NaomiMaxLee or donate by text to 70070 using the code MCMN78 with your donation amount. Both payment options offer the opportunity to Gift Aid your donation if you are a UK tax payer. To date over £300 has already come in from sponsors.

Any golfer wishing to join the trio in return for a minimum £25 donation to the charity should contact Ian Payne at The Jools Payne Partnership on 01691 680717 or email naomi@thejoolspaynepartnership.com.
