An education-focused recruitment agency is celebrating success after ongoing growth has enabled it to open a new office in Shrewsbury, which was officially unveiled last Friday.

Tara Professional Recruitment, which also has an office in Wolverhampton, opened the doors to its new office in Claremont Bank House where guests had the opportunity to meet and mingle with neighbouring firms and local business individuals, and officially welcome the company and its team to its new town centre home.

“We are absolutely thrilled to now be based in Shrewsbury,” Kirsty Timmins, Founder and Director, explained. “We have a highly-skilled team of recruitment consultants who have already developed great working relationships with schools and teachers across the county, so we’re all very excited to have a presence here and to be able to enhance our support of them.”

The official launch event kicked off with a performance by Pete Jandrell, one of Tara Professional Recruitment’s Music supply teachers and member of rock band Hot Rod 55 for over 25 years, who performed the group’s recently released single, and increasingly popular Shrewsbury Town FC terrace song, ‘My Shrewsbury Rose’. An official ribbon cutting ceremony followed and was undertaken by one of the firm’s eldest supply teachers, Maureen (Mo) Heath, who recently celebrated her 80th birthday.

“A huge thanks to Mo for cutting the official opening ribbon, and to Pete Jandrell for performing My Shrewsbury Rose to our guests,” she added. “The move has meant that we’re well positioned to achieve our next phase of growth, which will see us expand the Tara Professional Recruitment team, and support even more teachers and schools across the region. I’d like to thank everyone who came along to the opening, including many of our supportive neighbouring businesses and guests who gave us a very warm welcome to Shrewsbury.”

Tara Professional Recruitment is a specialist education-sector recruitment agency operating in Shropshire and the West Midlands, helping to find schools their ideal employee, and candidates their perfect role.
