Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Chapel Street, Pontesbury on Sunday 22nd November.
Between 12.42am and 12.45am, a 44 year-old man was walking home from an event with his family, when a group of three men kicked a can of lager at his daughter. The victim questioned the men and they then assaulted him. He sustained broken ribs and serious bruising and was taken to hospital for further treatment.
Following the incident, a 19 year-old man from Shrewsbury and a 37 year-old man from Shrewsbury were both arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of assault by beating. They are both on bail until 5th January 2016.
Police are looking to identify a third offender. He is described as a man aged between 25 to 30 with short dark hair, approximately 5ft 8 tall and of a slim build.
